OBAMA’S STATEMENTS, DEEDS AND LIES !!!!!

How could anyone miss one of the latest lies from President Obama. Ever hear, “If you like your plan you can keep your plan; or if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period”? This was just a portion of lies, deeds and statements that this President has made in order to remain in power. Do you really believe that the people would have re-elected this fool if he had told them the truth about how they would lose the insurance they had for a more expensive plan? Don’t hardly think so! When Mr. Romney brought this up during the debates, your President, not mine, looked directly into the camera and lied knowing all the while if he told the truth, or if the people found out the truth, he would have been defeated. He lied for his own personal gain. We all, the conservatives, tried our best to explain it; but they, the democrats, got away with another lie. The following list is info collected from the internet about all the misgivings of this President. They are listed here, a few but not all, and I ask you not to believe me; go check it out for yourselves. After all, it only makes “COMMON SENSE” to do your own homework.

1. Obamacare–72% of Americans against it. Facing unconstitutionality ruling.
2. The failed $850 billion stimulus–pay-offs to Union supporters.
3. High, persistent unemployment—Real Unemployment approaches 20%
4. Gas prices and Food prices–Consumer Price Index sets new record.
5. His 2012 budget’s recklessness–NO Budget for three years.
6. Massive deficits each & every year–New Record in February.
7. Seizure of GM & Chrysler, transfer of bondholders wealth to unions & GM stock dumping. Massive shorting of the stock proves insider trading.
8. Dodd-Frank–who attacked and destroyed the mortgage industry causing housing collapse and loss of equity.
9. Hostility to Israel, including attack on apartment expansion & icing of P.M. Netanyahu in the White House basement
10. Failure to support Iran’s Green Revolution
11. Failure to support Syrian Revolution
12. Libyan Fiasco
13. Incompetent handling of Gulf Oil disaster
14. Unnecessary moratorium in the aftermath of Gulf Oil disaster
15. Shutdown of Shell’s Arctic oil exploration by EPA
16. His push for cap-and-tax in Congress
17. Attempt to unconstitutionally impose cap-and-tax via EPA when Congress wouldn’t pass cap-and-tax
18. His push for unconstitutional restrictions on free speech on his political enemies while keeping unions free to spend money on campaigns via The Disclose Act
19. Attempt to unconstitutionally impose The Disclose Act on his political opponents, but not unions via Executive Order
20. Use of unaccountable “czars”–over 50 and still rising.
21. Refusal to accept Congressional direction vis-a-vis his “czars” contained in the last 2011 continuing Resolution
22. A verbal assault on the Supreme Court while the members of the Court sat before him in the state of the Union
23. His & Eric Holder’s politicization of the Dept of Justice, including the black panthers case & refusal to defend DOMA
24. Use of demonizing rhetoric towards opponents, such as accusing doctors of performing unnecessary surgery for $$$
25. His hyper-partisan approach to governing including “I won, you lost” in 09 & the assault on Paul Ryan w/ Paul Ryan as an invited guest in the president’s April 2011 “deficit speech”.
26. Bowing to Saudi King & Japanese Emperor and Apologizing to Taliban.
27. Returning bust of Churchill to Great Britain and stupid gifts to Queen.
28. Removing missile shield from Poland & Czech Republic, refusing allies input.
29. Backing would-be dictator of Honduras when that nation’s Supreme Court rightfully removed him from office
30. Failure to push for quick ratification of free trade agreements w/ Columbia, Panama & South Korea
31. Indecision on Afghanistan surge coupled w/ announcement of eventual withdrawal.
32. Sending billions of our tax money to support muslim brotherhood in Egypt.
33. Appointment Craig Beck to NLRB via recess appointment
34. Appointment of FCC commissioners who are pursuing “net neutrality” w/o Congressional authorization
35. Failure to resume full water deliveries to CA’s Central Valley because of the Delta Smelt
36. Attempt to close Guantanamo Bay–STILL OPEN
37. Attempt to try terrorists in NYC
38. Janet “The System Worked” Napolitano
39. Government takeover of student loan program–shutting out lenders who underwrite loans–this effectively puts the government in control of who gets them.

As mentioned previously, this is just a portion of what this President has done and said that is not good for the country. Let me explain one more example which may finally convince you that this man is clueless as to true business practices. He recently said, “that by extending the unemployment benefits we could develop 200,000 jobs”. Really Mr. President, is this the best you can do? If that is true, then it would make good “COMMON SENSE” for us all to go on unemployment benefits. Just how many jobs do you want? Just figure out how much welfare, as that is what the unemployment benefits have become, do you need to put everyone back to work. Did you catch that? He wants to give benefits to keep you unemployed to form more jobs. Who the hell is going to do the jobs if we are all on unemployment? As stated previously, “this man is clueless”.

To wrap this up, in the future when these idiots from the left make such foolish remarks, call them out. We should have a press that does that, but most of them are just as clueless and just as dishonest as this entire administration. Please hold each and every representative responsible, party be damned. If they do not do what is best for this country, then send them packing. After all it just makes “COMMON SENSE” to do so.

A LETTER TO KIRSTEN POWERS !!!

Welcome to the club. It is a wonderfully fascinating club with people of all shapes and sizes. I have been watching you from afar for sometime now and have noticed that you have changed as relates to your opinions. I noticed this change starting about six months ago, give or take a couple of months either way; even though, I understand from your writings that you became a believer some seven years ago. I have always considered you an attractive woman; but, you were always just a shade or two off. I just thought it was because of your left leanings and never considered whether you were a Christian. I just assumed you weren’t because of your leanings. You see, I believe there is no way anyone can support the democratic platform of abortion rights, gay marriages and the welfare system and be a Christian. (By the way, where do I send the dollar?) The “BIBLE” answers all the questions if you just read. The two are 180% opposite ends. The democratic platform and Bible are in stark contradiction of one another. Why, they, the democratic party, tried to remove “GOD” from the platform last year during the convention! You will come to this realization as your “Faith” becomes stronger and your walk with “Christ” through life continues.

I mentioned above that you were a shade off. But, I saw you on Fox today discussing your conversion and I noticed your smile was brighter than usual and that you had a peaceful glow about you. Call it what you will, but I call it the “LIGHT OF CHRIST” shining from within. I have said many times that the women of “FOX” are some of the most attractive women I have ever seen due to their “intellect and faith”. It is only “COMMON SENSE” that “intellect and faith” only serve to make a woman more beautiful. You now are a complete package of “stunning good looks, brains and faith”. The world is at you feet, the door is open, come on in and reap the benefits.

Hopefully, you will not allow anything to get in you way. I hope you are aware that you will be chastised for your “Faith” from some you considered your friends on the left. This is a real blow to their ideology and they will not accept it well. Just remember to push forward and to continue in your “walk”, be true to yourself and your beliefs and you will persevere.

You talked of your parents being professors and coming from a very intellectual family and this will also confuse them. You see intellectuals or elitist as I call them have a really hard time with this “Faith” stuff. They want something they can hold in their hand and examine to make sure it is real. They just do not understand all us “fools” who believe that Christ died for our sins to set us free. I could quote you scripture; but, you already are aware if you have accepted “HIM” as your savior. Maybe a quick example like the following will help explain.

I have been in “sales and marketing” all my life and have observed the following: some where in the 35/40 year range is when most people who were not already conservative seem to change and lean that way. This does not apply since you are in you early twenties. (What an “old silver-tongued and haired fox”!) It concerns their religious views as well as their family views. The two should go hand in hand. It is the time that most have married, have a home and children. Take me for example; before I married it was just me; not a care in the world; then I had a wife to care for and support. Next, I had a daughter that as a father I had to love and care for through thick and thin. That is the time that I bought life insurance as I recognized the need to furnish for her even in my absence. I was also in insurance sales at the time. I was responsible for her every need including her spiritual needs just like a “good father”. That’s when my “FAITH” became stronger in that I realized that my “FATHER IN HEAVEN” had been trying to lead me, protect me and love me just as I for my daughter; but, I was blinded by the bright lights and ways of the world. I think it is pretty much the same for everyone.

On a closing note, you have a unique platform from which to spread the “gospel” although “Fox” would not like that. But, let me inform you that you can be very effective in helping others just by letting the “LIGHT OF CHRIST” radiate in your life and you’ll never have to say a word about conversion. People now know of your conversion and the “LIGHT” will convince them to follow in your foot steps. After all, it only makes “COMMON SENSE” to do so.

WHO HE IS !!!

Hey folks, I know I write a lot about politics as it is of real interest to me and because they just make it too easy. I have decided to change pace a little and include a piece that I authored several years ago. This piece was written in response to a sermon delivered by my pastor at the time, Dr. Mike Miller. Dr. Mike was having to go before the state Presbyterian board or committee for qualification purposes, I think, and “Who Is He?” was the question posed to each candidate. As he was preparing, he realized it would be a great sermon or question to pose to the congregation. I know he thought I was not listening; but I was, and it really got me to thinking, thus my response.

For all who know me personally and are aware, I have always been a hunting/fishing fanatic. I think it comes from the years I spent living with my Grandma on the Texas gulf coast each summer. I slept on a screened front porch and hunted and fished every day. I would wake up each morning as the sun came up to a breakfast of two pieces of toast, with peach jelly and a glass of cold milk on the table, prepared by my Granddad. As soon as I ate, he would take my Grandma and I down to the bridge over the bay and I would spend the day fishing and running the bay’s edge hunting bait. Made pretty good money selling bait to the tourist. Maybe that is where I developed my selling skills and work ethic. It is also probably what developed my love of a nap after lunch. You see, Granddad would bring us lunch each day and then I’d take a nap on the cot he set up under the bridge. If you have never slept under the shade of a bridge with the cool bay breeze over you, then you have not enjoyed all of God’s creations. (I know I got to rambling, but it will explain some of my “Who He Is”.)

The following, as stated previously, is in response to a sermon to show that sermons really do carry a message. This piece has never been published and was recently found during a “fall cleaning”. The old saying, “listen and learn”, might apply here and makes good “COMMON SENSE”.

Dear Mike,

I know I will never go before the committee, but I felt compelled to think about “Who Is He?” and these few thoughts came to the forefront.

He Is
– The beauty of an early morning sunrise as well as the serenity of a foggy morn.
– The agility of a wren hopping from branch to branch as I sit motionless on a stand.
– The softness of the bunny crossing my legs as I sit and watch and listen for Ole Tom Turkey at dawn.
– The crackle of grass under foot in a high meadow on a frosty morn.
– The symphony of sound from the gobble of mature birds throughout the hollows in the Ozarks.
– The fluid motion and abrupt stop of a pointer working a meadow and finding scent.
– The rippling of taut muscles in a retriever as it flies through the air to enter the water for a grand retrieve.
– The love and devotion of our animals who strive to please.
– The gracefulness of a deer as it clears a fence to enter an oat patch.
– The diamond like glistening of the sunlight off a magnificent buck in a clearing.
– The beauty and grace when a flock of ducks set their wings to decoy.
– The ripple on the mirrored pond as a bass feeds at daylight.
– The serenity of the Laguna Madre at daylight on a calm morning.
– The furiousness of a trout exploding on a top-water bait.
– The warmth of a Lab’s tongue as he licks his master’s hand on a cool fall morning in a duck blind.
– The rush of feather, air, and color when a pheasant takes to the air.
– The crispness of that same pheasant’s cackle as he flushes.
– The call of the Bobwhite at the far distant end of a meadow.
– The call of the morning dove soft across the hills.
– The crow of the rooster, beaconing each morning.
– The excitement of the young pup at the sight of his master.

– The tenderness of a mother’s love.
– The sternness of the father’s hand.
– The sweetness of a daughter’s goodnight kiss.
– The total love and support of the family.
– The fellowship of friends and congregation.
– The knowledge of the elderly.
– The smile of the stranger on the corner.
– The laughter of children at play.
– The clear ring of church bells ringing out on a Sunday morning.
– The sweet smell of flowers in the spring.
– The renewed hope that comes with the greening in the spring.
– The harmony of a small country church as they belt out a hymn.
– The sorrow at the loss of loved one or friend.
– The worth of a hand shake when someone says, “How are you, dude?”
– The inspiration to examine “Who He Is?” from a recent sermon.
And last, but not least: The love of a good wife.

As you can tell, I saved the best for last, as is usually the case. Hopefully, this will help to inspire you, as your sermons are not going to waste.

Hopefully, this piece will inspire you to examine your own life to find joy in all God’s blessings which have been bestowed upon you. As you might garner from the piece, my life has been blessed and touched by the hand of God. He has kept me here on this earth even through open heart surgery; and hopefully, I can fulfill what he wants me to accomplish as it only makes “COMMON SENSE” to do so

OBAMACARE VS HEALTHCARE

I have come to realize that there are a lot of people out in the real world that do not know the difference between Obamacare, the ACA, and healthcare. Obamacare has been touted as the ultimate when presenting it to the public. But, they, the liberals, have done a poor job of explain it to the average “Joe”. That’s right, how stupid of me, they lied. The President lied in order to get reelected, he lied about whether you could keep your insurance policy, and he lied about whether you could keep your doctor. This man is an habitual liar and has lied yet again about the “fix”. He has taken lying to an all time new level, but alas, I stray. Obamacare has nothing to do with healthcare. It is simply another form of insurance and is just a payment process that is intended to help pay for the expense of an extended illness thus preventing bankruptcy due to the payment of doctor/hospital bills incurred during such an illness. Got that? Insurance, nothing more nothing less. So when they tell you how great Obamacare will be, remember it is just like switching from one insurance company to another. Remember, if you hate dealing with insurance companies, you will hate dealing with Obamacare even more, period. HA, HA!!!

Health care is between you and your health care provider, be it your doctor, clinic or hospital. This has always been the case and the insurance companies have tried to intervene more and more over the years by inserting a nurse/doctor that works for them deciding if a treatment is necessary. It has led to what and if the insurance company will pay. Not a really great system; but, it has been in place for years and America has developed the finest heath care system in the world with this system in place. Now that we all are aware of the differences between the two, maybe we should consider a new name for Obamacare. Obamasurance comes to mind and makes “COMMON SENSE” because it is just another form of insurance. The difference between Obamacare and the insurance companies is that the insurance companies offered policies with an array of different options so an individual could somewhat adjust the premium by the amount of risk they were willing to bear. With the new Obamacare, your choices will be limited with options that you do not need; thusly, reflecting higher premiums, period. It makes no sense for a man to have maternity care in the policy. But, you’ll have no choice. It will be there with Obamacare as a way to increase the amount you pay for a service you will never use. Folks, it just makes “NO COMMON SENSE” and please do not take my word for it, go do your homework.

The very folks who brought you this mess are now asking you to trust them once again, that being President Obama. He has lied to the American public since he first ran for office. Remember the one about how he would only accept “public funds” for his campaign!!! America should have punished him then for lying. Remember during his second campaign when he looked into the camera during his debate with candidate Romney and said “Benghazi” was about a video. America should have punished him then for lying. And remember during that same debate, he once again looked into the same camera and told you “if you like your policy, you will be able to keep it”. America should have punished him yet again. It is time for America to stand up and punish this man for all the lies he has perpetrated on this great land and please do not fall for his lies again and help in the impeachment of this imposter. After all, it only makes “COMMON SENSE” to do so.

DOES WHO IS POTUS OR WHAT HE SAYS REALLY MATTER ???

Now, this is a really great question, “Does it really matter who is President of the United States and what about what he says, does that really matter?” According to a lot of liberal pundits the latter question must not mean anything because they are all out there stomping their feet and screaming as loudly as ever that he did not lie and it really did not matter when he said, “If you like your policy, you can keep it; and if you like your doctors, you can keep them also”. We, the common folk with “COMMON SENSE”, know now that was a lie. One of many this man has told since he ran for office the first time. Do you remember how he said he would limit his campaign to the use of public funds? That was hardly out of his mouth before he flip-flopped and accepted private funds. He has since proven to be an habitual liar that would “climb a tree to tell a lie, rather than stand on the ground in the shade of the tree and tell the truth”. His “DAD” did the President a real injustice by not “taking him out behind the wood shed” when he lied as a boy. How do I know he lied as a boy? Because, this is when it starts; and, it is “COMMON SENSE” that if Mom/Dad “does not nip it in the buds” the youngster will develop into someone just like the President. He just cannot help himself. He has lied to the American people, to the Foreign Heads of States and Leaders, to the national press and, yes, even to his own liberal base.

I am taking the liberty of sending this blog to Bill O’Reilly as he has seen fit to give the President a pass. And, although he thinks he may be lying, he can not bring himself to use “COMMON SENSE” to evaluate and pronounce the President a liar. Hopefully, he will review this info and finally conclude that the President is a liar due to the circumstantial evidence just as some have been convicted of crimes on the same type of evidence. The following is a partial list of some of what the President has said; and, so, I will “let you decide” if this all points to a man of questionable integrity. Please tell me, “does it really matter?”

Looking back through the past 5 years, many “Whens“ pop up. Read them all to better understand where we are going as a country….

WHEN – he refused to disclose who donated money to his election campaign, as other candidates had done, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he received endorsements from people like Louis Farrakhan, Miramar Gaddafi and Hugo Chavez, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – it was pointed out that he was a total newcomer and had absolutely no experience at anything except community organizing, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he chose friends and acquaintances such as Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn who were revolutionary radicals, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – his voting record in the Illinois Senate and in the U.S. Senate came into question, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he refused to wear a flag lapel pin and did so only after a public outcry, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – people started treating him as a Messiah and children in schools were taught to sing his praises, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he stood with his hands over his groin area for the playing of the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he surrounded himself in the White House with advisors who were pro-gun control, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage and wanting to curtail freedom of speech to silence the opposition, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he said he favors sex education in kindergarten, including homosexual indoctrination, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – his personal background was either scrubbed or hidden and nothing could be found about him, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – the place of his birth was called into question, and he refused to produce a birth certificate, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he had an association in Chicago with Tony Rezko – a man of questionable character and who is now in prison and had helped Obama to a sweet deal on the purchase of his home – people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – it became known that George Soros, a multi-billionaire Marxist, spent a ton of money to get him elected, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he started appointing White House Czars that were radicals, revolutionaries, and even avowed Marxist/Communists, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he stood before the Nation and told us that his intentions were to “fundamentally transform this Nation” into something else, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – it became known that he had trained ACORN workers in Chicago and served as an attorney for ACORN, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he appointed cabinet members and several advisers who were tax cheats and socialists, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he appointed a Science Czar, John Holdren, who believes in forced abortions, mass sterilizations and seizing babies from teen mothers, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he appointed Cass Sunstein as Regulatory Czar who believes in “Explicit Consent,” harvesting human organs without family consent and allowing animals to be represented in court, while banning all hunting, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he appointed Kevin Jennings, a homosexual and organizer of a group called Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Education Network as Safe School Czar and it became known that he had a history of bad advice to teenagers, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he appointed Mark Lloyd as Diversity Czar who believes in curtailing free speech, taking from one and giving to another to spread the wealth, who supports Hugo Chavez, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – Valerie Jarrett, an avowed Socialist, was selected as Obama’s Senior White House Advisor, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director, said Mao Tse Tung was her favorite philosopher and the person she turned to most for inspiration, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he appointed Carol Browner, a well-known socialist as Global Warming Czar working on Cap and Trade as the nation’s largest tax, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he appointed Van Jones, an ex-con and avowed Communist as Green Energy Czar, who since had to resign when this was made known, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – Tom Daschle, Obama’s pick for Health and Human Services Secretary could not be confirmed because he was a tax cheat, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – as President of the United States, he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he traveled around the world criticizing America and never once talking of her greatness, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – his actions concerning the Middle East seemed to support the Palestinians over Israel, our longtime ally, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he took American tax dollars to resettle thousands of Palestinians from Gaza to the United States, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he upset the Europeans by removing plans for missile defense system against the Russians, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he played politics in Afghanistan by not sending troops early on when the Field Commanders said they were necessary to win, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he started spending us into a debt that was so big we could not pay it off, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he took a huge spending bill under the guise of stimulus and used it to pay off organizations, unions, and individuals that got him elected, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he took over insurance companies, car companies, banks, etc., people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he took away student loans from the banks and put it through the government, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he designed plans to take over the health care system and put it under government control, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he claimed he was a Christian during the election and tapes were later made public that showed Obama speaking to a Muslim group and ‘stating’ that he was raised a Muslim, was educated as a Muslim, and is still a Muslim, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he set into motion a plan to take over the control of all energy in the United States through Cap and Trade, people said it didn’t matter.

WHEN – he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State, people woke up— but it was too late.

Add these up one by one and you get a score that points to the fact that Barrack Hussein Obama is determined to turn America into a Marxist-Socialist society. All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place. All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this, do an Internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph.

Folks, this all really does matter. Everyday this man deals on our behalf, represents you and I, the American people, around the world and lies to leaders of our nation and to the leaders of nations all over the world. We deserve better! I have said it before, but it bears repeating, “A liar will steal from you and a thief will lie to you”. If you really think it does not matter who is President, or what they say has no real effect, then you are one of those dense, thick-headed liberals, whose brain is “hardwired back-ass-wards”. I would love to think I that I might help to change your way of thinking; but, “COMMON SENSE” tells me, “I am drawing to an inside straight.” Maybe there is hope for you if you read enough of my blogs and who knows you might change to our team like Charles Krauthammer did years ago.

AND, THE QUESTION IS ???

Hey, the question is: Why is there always talk of Social Security running out of money; but, you never hear about welfare running out of money, now do you ??? It really is a “COMMON SENSE” question. Everyday or so, you hear that we have to reform the entitlement programs; and then, they bring up “social security” in the same breath. Have you ever asked yourself, “How can “social security” be an entitlement program when working people have paid into the fund their entire working life?” When we all started this program there were about 20 or so workers for every retired person. Today, that has changed to about 4 workers for every retired worker. A great difference for sure; but, we are holding the program even or losing slightly. So, when we had all the extra workers, the fund had to be growing rapidly. Now ask yourself, “Where did all the funds go?” They went into the general fund and were used for everything, including to fund welfare.

It just makes me “mad as hell” to hear them call the “social security program” an entitlement. And, if I could get my hands on those idiots; well, let’s just say, “it would not be pretty” and I’d go to jail. So, I wage this “war of words” instead; which, if Obama gets his way, will soon get you the same sentence. It is a horrible thought that they have absconded with our money from Social Security to fund the dead beat part of society. By the way, that was President Carter that did so. It was with the backing of a Democratic Congress and has always been the Democrats, like Clinton, that have messed with the funds. If they had kept their greedy little mitts off the fund, it would still be solvent today. Just one more thing the Democrats have screwed up when in power and given the chance. Remember that the next time you go to vote and vote accordingly.

I get a little off track sometimes; but, we must return to the question above. The politicians in this country always want to “rob from the rich to give to the poor” and I for one am sick of it. You notice I did not clarify parties here because the Republicans are guilty, also. Not nearly to the extent as the Democrats, but guilty also. When we had complete control of the government during the Bush years, the Republicans spent way to much money and that is why our “founding fathers” opted for a divided government.

I would love to hear a politician say, “We are running out of welfare funds”, but I won’t hold my breath. You see they have discovered that the “senior citizens” will roll over while the poor will protest. They are trading “freebies” for votes. It amounts to a legal way to buy votes. If they gave you cash, it would be illegal. But, it is okay to buy your vote with “freebies”. No one will vote against “Santa Claus” which is what the Democratic party has become in the eyes of so many in this country that do not want to work. They give out welfare checks, food stamps, rent subsidies, utility subsidies, free medical care, free “OBAMA phones” and free school breakfast/lunches and the list just continues to grow. In Hawaii, they means tested the freebies and you would have to make between 60/65k to maintain the life style of the deadbeats. How in the hell do you ever get someone off the “dole” and back working when it is a better life standard to just lie around or spend the day at the beach while on assistance?

Please remember what you have read here today the next time you have a chance to vote–“vote the bums out”–as it only makes “COMMON SENSE” to do so.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE GOOD MEN GONE, A LOT OF YOUNG WOMEN WANT TO KNOW !!!

That is one hell of good question. I meet young women all the time that know that Mom and I have been married going on 39 years and they long to find a life’s partner. In fact, I just met a very nice and very attractive young woman while purchasing supplies for one of our jobs who is single and admits she can not find “good husband” type guys. It was funny because Mom and I, while stopped in traffic for a wreck, started discussing this very issue just an hour before. I later told this young lady what I had told Mom and she admitted that she felt I was right.

She, the young lady, and I were discussing the reason for the divorce rate when I asked, “Do you know why the rate is so high or why there are no long term marriages as in the past?” She looked at me with some suspicion and after a moment she said, please tell me. I told her, and I quote, “It is the men’s fault because they are so immature.” Mom even agreed with me during our trip. I have told two ladies my ideas on this subject and both have agreed. Hell, that is 100 % agreement. Unheard of in this day and time. I will explain it here in “COMMON SENSE” terms to see if the percentage will hold up. You see, I believe that all we have is a bunch of wussies from which these ladies have to make their choice. The young men have not been taught how to treat a lady and are at best just immature boys; while, these young ladies are longing for the company of a real man. They are looking for a real warrior, a real provider and a real lover who can be a real spiritual father to their children. A real man is all of the above in differing degrees at different times. The young men out there today are neither a warrior, a provider, nor sexually mature; and as to being a spiritual father, they are clueless. We discussed the subject and she admitted to me that the only guy she even considered husband material was 10 years her senior. It was strange when she brought that point forward because you see, I am 11 years senior in relation to Mom. Mom walked up about that time and we all continued the discussion all the way out the door and while loading the truck. I explained to the young lady that last week in south S.A., at a Valero station, I remarked to the lady behind the counter as I paid for our “hot dog dinner” on the tailgate of the truck “Do not tell me I do not know how to treat a lady,” “Two chili dogs and a Dr. Pepper Icee.” “Last of the big spenders”.

As we were saying our “good byes” after loading the supplies, I said to the young lady, this is another reason for our longevity as I opened the truck door to assist Mom’s entry. The young lady was astounded that I did so. She said she had only had one guy do that in all her dates. Folks, this is a sign of respect. I asked her, “Do you know how to make it happen?” and she said no. So I told her to let him get in the car and to just stand there waiting. Believe me he will get the message. But, I warned her to do this when he comes to pick you up and while still in front of your house. If he refuses, simply go back in the house and write him off as “a lost cause”. It only makes “COMMON SENSE” to do so.

Some time ago, Mom and I were heading to my high school reunion. We had one stop to make; and as I was assisting her into the truck there were three ladies in the car next to us and the driver said to Mom, “He’s a keeper, honey.” You see people do notice. I was taught at an early age to respect women. My Mom told me when I started to date, “She might not be that special one; but if you cared enough to ask her out, then for that one night you should treat her as though she is the only lady in your life”. I have a tear in my eye as I can still hear her saying that today as if it were yesterday.

You know, it really does make “COMMON SENSE”. And if you young men will show respect for these beautiful creatures God has placed on this earth and show them you are a “real man”, “they will beat a path to your door”. Show them you can be the man God knows you can be. Remember, a warrior, a provider, a lover and a spiritual father figure, and she will say, “What a man!!”

GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN, WHO’S REALLY AT FAULT ?

It’s your fault; no, it’s your fault. Sound familiar? It is what both the House and the Senate are saying to one another and it is what you hear from your kids if you have more than one kid. There is some blame for both sides; but, we really need to examine the issue in-depth to find the culprit. So, I’m going to throw out my two cents worth of “COMMON SENSE” to see if I can make “heads or tails” out of this mess.

First, let me in all fairness proclaim that I know why the parties can not get along. One party is “the party of COMMON SENSE” and tries to offer a logical argument; while, the other party’s brains are hardwired completely different and cannot even begin to understand “the COMMON SENSE approach”. You all know from my blog title that I’m a “COMMON SENSE” guy; and because I think you can solve most if not all problems thru “COMMON SENSE,” then I must think the Conservatives are right and they are the ones looking at this from the “COMMON SENSE” angle.

The House of Representatives made three proposals, or passed three bills, that went to the Senate only hours before the government shutdown. Their first choice was to try to defund DemoCare. That is the true name that this bill should bear since it was passed 100% by the democrats with zero support of republicans. That makes this DemoCare and they own the damn thing lock, stock and barrel. When that was rejected by the Senate, the House tried a second time with a bill “to remove the individual mandate” similar to the way President Obama removed the business mandate. The Senate rejected that also; so, the House tried a third time with a bill that said basically “Everyone should be treated exactly the same under the terms of DemoCare”. What a great concept!!! Everyone, even the lawmakers and their staffs right along with President Obama and his family, should have to join a “government exchange”. That would mean that the lawmakers would have to live with the laws they pass for you and I to follow. “But, not only no, but hell no” the Democratic Senate wanted no part of anything so fair. Now, I think you can begin to see why I say the repubs are of the “COMMON SENSE” folks while the Dems are lawmakers with brains that are “hardwired” different from the common folk. For the life of me, I do not understand why anyone would vote for a group of “elitists” who thought they should not follow the laws they set for the common folk. They exempt themselves from all sort of laws which they require for the commoners. Why hell, they do not fall under the social security program; but, sure as hell, tell us we should not only follow it but be damn grateful that they give it to us as an “entitlement program”. “ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM MY ASS”, EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU PAID INTO THE PROGRAM SO NEVER EVER LET THEM MAKE YOU FEEL THAT IT IS AN ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM. YOU EARNED EVERY PENNY YOU GET!!!!

I’m going to become an oracle here in that I’m going to predict massive indenity fraud in this DemoCare. They are hiring some 16K navigators to help people sign up for this program. Does any one recall Acorn and all the fraud associated with their group? Many charges were filed; but, I do not believe anyone ever went to jail for voter fraud. These are the same type of people they will hire for this program. The idenity theft rings are already seeding the navigator work force with their own people and the fraud will run rampant . Just remember that you heard it from the “all-seeing, all-knowing” “COMMON SENSE” guru.

Folks, if after reading this “COMMON SENSE” approach to this government shutdown and you still do not understand, then I can only come to the “COMMON SENSE” thought that you are one of those illogical dunderheads and that your brain is “hardwired” backwards. As Jeff Foxworthy might say, and it makes good “COMMON SENSE”, “You might be Demoneck”. Well, good luck with that; and, we do not have to worry that “COMMON SENSE” will ever get in the way of you running in reverse. Please do the world a favor and please never procreate as you will only lower the intelligence level. Thank you so very much.

THE MOST EDUCATIONAL TOOL EVER, THE TELEVISION !!!

I know, I know, you all think I’m crazy with this thought about the television. I can hear it all now. Each and everyone is saying, “He has finally lost his mind as there is nothing on the T.V. worth watching, much less learning”. You are right! But, the point you are missing is that our young people are learning from what is shown on the T.V. The sex and violence are on nearly every channel and are watched over and over everyday by our youngsters. So, guess what, they are learning all about sex and violence. I did not say in the title that it was a good force in education, only a force. We, as a group, must decide if this is the type of material we want stuffed into our children’s brains. After a while, they become desensitized to the material and start to emulate in real life what they have learned from the T.V. I was bad enough when the hormones started to “rage”; but, if I had been exposed to all the sex and nudity like our kids are today, I’d have been a “wild man”. You can hardly find good programing for a family during any time slot. Just look at the “music videos” for an example. They border on the edge of porn, not soft porn but hardcore porn. Let’s take a short stroll down “memory lane” and compare yesteryear with today.

In the time frame in which I grew up, the channels, all three of them, would not or could not even show a “lady with child”. While today, they will not only show her but show her in the nude. Back in the days, Lucy and Ricky, of “I LOVE LUCY” even had to have twin beds and full length pajamas; while today, they show groups of people in large “king ” sized beds; all naked. I guess what has set me off on this topic is that the wife and I were watching a show the other night and an ad came on for a “Trojan vibrator for women”. This was during the family hour and I could only think, “how would the parents explain this to a nine/twelve-year-old”. I know many will say that they already know of this material…but, doesn’t that make my point. Does a child of that age need to already know of such? COMMON SENSE says “let kids be kids”. They have their whole life to experience this type of material and do not need to be exposed at such a young age. And, we wonder why we are having such an explosion in the illegitimacy rate. COMMON SENSE says,” we are dumber than a stack of rocks on this subject”.

Now to the violence issue. Have you really watched the “blood and gore” on any of the crime shows on T.V.? Is it any wonder that our children no longer place a true value on life? Have you reviewed the video games your children are playing on the x-box? We let them be exposed to killings after killings during their formative years and then are shocked when a certain percentage become ” serial killers” or “mass murders”. COMMON SENSE says, “monkey see, monkey do”. I know some will say “what an old fart” I am; but, stop for just a moment and think about how you were raised and how you are raising your children. I’ll bet if you are truthful you will see a drastic difference. All I’m asking is that you review the “cause and results” in play here.

I do admit that I do watch some of the shows. But, I will also admit that the sex shown on some of these shows “stirs up my hormones”; and if that is true at my age, then we can only guess as to what it does to our younger folks. I guess the old “COMMON SENSE” thing about “there is snow on the rooftop but a fire in the furnace” might apply here. In any event, let it be said that I tried to warn you that if this trend continues, “It ain’t going to get any better”. If this trend of “sex and violence” continues, we will have to have “two conceal to carry permits”. One for your weapon to protect yourself from random violence and one for condoms to protect yourself from random sex.

WELL, WE FINALLY FOUND THE WMD’S FROM IRAQ—IN SYRIA!!!!!

Syria has been playing “hide and seek” with the WMD’s from Iraq all these years; but, they finally helped us find them. The two governments moved them before the Iraq war. Bashar Al-Assad was the recipient of the gift from Saddam Hussein to prevent them from being found by the U.N. before the war ever started. The Iraqi Republican Guard even buried a complete fighter jet in the desert, so moving the WMD’s was but a small chore. Can you imagine the size of the hole to bury a jet? Can you imagine what else they buried? We as a country knew for sure that Saddam Hussein had the WMD’s. Because, we, as a country, sold them to him. This is the same thing that Japan did to us. We sold them scrap metal and they returned it in bullets and bombs. Now ask yourself, just how smart are we? We keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome. “COMMON SENSE” should rear its old head and tell us that this is the “definition of insanity”. Will we never learn? Not until we elect leaders with some “COMMON SENSE” instead of the “educated idiots” we have in office at the present time.

We went into the Iraq war to try to capture the WMD’s and to keep them out of the hands of Al-Qaeda. They would most certainly use them against America if they ever got hold of them. That does not seem to be the case in Syria. Bashar Al-Assad is fighting the rebels which is somewhat an off-spring of Al-Qaeda or at best is run in part by members of Al-Qaeda. Some will say that if the rebels get hold of the WMD’s, they will be a threat to America; but, there is no evidence of that at the present. Syria is backed in this “civil war” by Russia and Iran, so some of our leaders would like to “poke them in the eye,” so to speak, as revenge or payback for past deeds. “COMMON SENSE” says “that if payback is a bitch and revenge is sweet, then I must be the sweetest bitch you’ll ever meet”. Not the best basis for going to war. Remember this, “revenge is only sweet when covered with lots of sugar which is bad for your health”.

Everyone who has followed this blog knows that I have been against this President Obama fellow since before he was ever elected. I judged him harshly during his first run because I knew he would be in “over his head,” and he is, and that he was a liar and he is. Having said that, I do want to be as fair as I can; he has no good choice. If we do nothing, many more innocent people will die; but, if we do get involved, we really do not know where it might lead. This could possibly evolve into a major conflict of which we would be right in the middle. A lot of the blame can be laid at the feet of President Obama for his policies in the region. This is a civil war and we have no business telling them how they should run the country. We love our way of life and try to impose it on other nations. We have tried this for years and have not had a lot of success. These other nations are more “tribal” and do not value “democracy” the way we do. Why hell, we do not even value “democracy” the way we did in the past. Just look how this administration has walked on the rule of law and the Constitution.

I am in favor of “keeping our nose clean” on this one. It tortures me to watch as this goes on; but, it really is none of our business. Think back, did anyone stick their nose in during our civil war? Do you think we would think kindly of some other country trying to tell us how to run our country? Oh, but, we have that now. We have Kenya to thank for this mess we are in and some of us do not appreciate their involvement. Does not seem to be working very well, now does it ?

I would like to point out that we have the same death and destruction just across our border to the south and our government has done nothing good in response. Since 2006 thru 2012, the official death toll in the “drug war” has reached 60K. The unofficial death toll is approaching 100K. What has our government done? It supplied them guns to kill more people and in the process got some of our agents killed. The numbers just do not add up, folks.

I want to try to approach this from a “COMMON SENSE” stand point. Syria has never really been an ally for the U.S.; and, we certainly are not friends with any part of Al-Qaeda; and if we get involved, we have to befriend one side or the other. “COMMON SENSE” says that if you have two enemies fighting and killing each other, “let it be”. As long as they are killing each other, maybe they will leave us alone. We can wait it out until there is a winner then go kick their ass and we will have rid the world of both enemies.
