Is common sense no more?

MY FATHER AND MY BLOG

Only a few of you who know me personally know that I was raised by my “MOM”, a strong Christian woman.  My dad was absent; but, she did a great job of trying to keep me on the straight and narrow.  I really do not know who to credit or blame for my writing of this blog, but my “Father” had a lot to do with what little ability I have for the writing of this blog.  I would like to give credit where credit is due– so I’ll take a stab at it.

My “Father” was and still is instrumental in my having a back bone and being able to stand up to adversity.  He always taught me to think for myself and to believe in “Truth and Justice”.  I guess that is where some of my attitude comes from about this blog.  He taught me that “the truth will set you free” and now I write about “the truth” on a regular basis.  He taught me that “hard work would pay dividends” and it has proven to be true. He taught me rules to follow  through out life that would always lead me in the right direction.  The  knowledge he passed to me has helped in my relationship with my wife of 38 years.  He has taken the time in the past to show me how to befriend people and to respect their friendship.  He also taught me that if I or my family faced danger, that I was to “strike out with a mighty right hand and sword”; all the while, knowing when to turn the other cheek for lesser offenses. He taught me not to chase the dollar but to put forth effort and to recognize and accept opportunity and to benefit from it when “it comes knocking at your door”. He taught me to believe in myself and to have the confidence and conviction in my beliefs to withstand the “naysayers”.  He taught me the “joy of giving” and the benefits that are derived from the helping of others.  I could go on about many more things he has taught me; but, I think you get the picture.  Now that you know of some of “His” teachings of me, I would like to tell you a little about “Him”. Hopefully, you will find the following to be enlightening.

He was born into a small family many years ago.  The family was not rich by any standards.  He grew up to be a carpenter by trade.  He was not a highly educated man by today’s standards but possessed a wealth of knowledge.  He was an articulate man and was not bashful about speaking to groups of people.  He had an “air” about him and could get people to not only listen but to follow his words. He spent a lot of time in fishing villages, so maybe that is where I got my love of fishing.  He was a simple man with little in worldly possessions but rich in character and was really into morals and ethics.  He lived his life and went out as he came into this world–with honor.  Although I write a lot, he was more of a speaker of truth than a writer of truth.  Although he wrote and can be credited with some very profound statements, he was an orator not a writer.  He was written of in many “books” and was quoted in many “books” but was not given credit to writing books himself.  It has always amazed me that a man with so much to say did not write more than he did during his time here on earth.  Although I never got to hear not even one of his speeches, I have read accounts of all of them in the “books” of which I spoke earlier.  He was an appreciative man and gave credit for his success to his “Father” just as I give credit to my “Father” for my success.  He had a small group of close friends with which he “broke bread” and sipped wine.

Like I said before, he was not a writer, but he was written about in many books.  He appeared as the main character in one book.  If you haven’t figured out the plot to this story, let me explain it for you.  The book in which he was the main character is the “BIBLE” and “HE” is “OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN”.  If you have not read it, please accept this invitation to do so.  You see I did not get an invitation, but was shamed into reading it when I discovered that my daughter and her friend had read it from cover to cover when they were eighteen years old.  I got busy and am glad I did.  The “book” is full of “COMMON SENSE”. So, it only makes “COMMON SENSE” that it should be read by all.  And by the way, when I mentioned He taught me rules to live by; those rules for life are “THE TEN COMMANDMENTS” and they really are “COMMON SENSE” rules for life.

WHERE THERE’S SMOKE, THERE’S FIRE.

Hey, hopefully all of you who know me see me as a “COMMON SENSE” guy.  I try really hard at this “common sense” stuff; thusly, the title for this blog, “WHERE THERE’S SMOKE, THERE’S FIRE”. Meaning that if you see smoke, there is fire somewhere even if you do not see it.  I feel this old saying applies very well to the Attorney General’s situation.  If you have not been paying attention, he has a mess on his hands. This mess is of his own making and one lie is bad enough. But, this man is only surpassed in the lying category by none other than his boss.  I will, in the following, point out not just one but a whole fist full of lies he has put forth to conceal his actions and to try to fool the American public.  It is past due time for him to be held accountable for his actions and his false accounts of those actions.

I have no “ax to grind” here but his latest lie is just one of many he has been caught up in; and when it becomes a pattern, then it is time for his boss to take action.  The latest of his misstatements, hell, let’s call it what it really is–a lie, is that he had no knowledge of the process to obtain a warrant to investigate James Rosen, a Fox News reporter, and his family.  As it turns out, he lied to Congress, a crime in itself, when he stated, “he had no knowledge of any investigation about any news organization and that he thought it a bad idea”.  Turns out that he, Mr. Attorney General, Eric Holder, himself, signed the warrant or the application for the warrant sometime before his claim to Congress that he had no knowledge of the investigation.  If I signed the application for the warrant, then I would have knowledge of it and anything to the contrary would be a lie.  And if it was a lie, then I am a liar, plain and simple.  I think the old adage applies here that “a thief will lie to you and a liar will steal from you”.  Truth be known a liar is a thief because he has stolen the truth from you.  Now if that is not good old “COMMON SENSE”, then I’ll “eat my hat”, and if you do not recognize it for “COMMON SENSE”, then I am really wasting my time here.

The Attorney General has lied and been complicit in the Benghazi scandal by going along with the lie of the video as the cause of the attack.  That has been proven to be a lie; but the administration, including the attorney general rode that horse into the ground.  Why hell, he even stood by along with the rest of the administration, while the maker of the video was arrested and imprisoned.  Imprisoned for making a video!!!  By the way that man is still being held even though the lie the administration told has been debunked.  How would you feel if you were in that person’s shoes?

If you are interested in the truth, then investigate for yourself the following actions of this attorney general.  Just simply get on the internet and check out all the things this attorney general has been a part of and I think it will open your eyes.  Things like the black panther voter intimidation where he refused to prosecute and lied, the “Fast and Furious” gun running debacle where he lied and a U.S. Border Agent was killed, the IRS scandal, where the attorney general’s office approved of the FBI investigating conservative groups and he lied, the AP scandal where they obtained the records of reporters phone records and he lied, and not to mention he is touted as the architect of the Marc Rich pardon during Clinton administration as assistant attorney general.  This man is credited with being the grandest “tax cheat” of all times.  They say he was even greater than “tax-cheat Geithner” who severed as your  U.S. Secretary of Treasury.  Now, isn’t this a fine “den of thieves” serving, or having served, at the pleasure of the President?  Doesn’t bode well for the President, now does it?  What is that old “COMMON SENSE” thing about “birds of a feather flock together”.

I did not elaborate on all the issues facing this attorney general to save space. But, let’s just say that “where there is this much smoke, there is a fire”.  Remember, these are just the lies we are privy to and you can “bet the bank” there are more.  It just makes “COMMON SENSE” that “if you will lie to me once, you will lie to me again”.  I truly believe that this Attorney General and our President, as well,  would “climb a tree to tell a lie rather than stand on the ground in the shade to tell the truth”.  A sad state of affairs to say the least.

OBAMA AND HILLARY IN AN AFFAIR, A LYING AFFAIR

It is obvious to everyone that President Obama and Hillary Clinton are in a lying affair with the American public over Benghazi.  If you can’t see this, then you have no “COMMON SENSE” and I am wasting my time and breath trying to explain the facts. But, here I go anyway.

Did you happen to catch the testimony of Mr. Hicks during the congressional hearings where he was asked what his reaction to the video statement by the administration was and he said, “he was astonished, his jaw dropped and he was embarrassed?”  If you have any “COMMON SENSE,” then you realize that his statement is a nice way of saying  the administration was lying. You can labor the point as long as you like; but, the conclusion remains the same.  They were and still are lying about this whole debacle.  They were afraid that it would have a negative effect on the election; so, they simply lied to better fit the narrative that the administration had the terrorist on the run.  This was not only dishonorable, but dangerous.  If you do not recognize the problem, then how the hell can you ever fix it.  Both President Obama and then Secretary of State Clinton, while representing the American public, went in front of the world when the bodies returned and lied on your behalf.  Did you hear me? I said “on your behalf”.  I try to never tell a lie. So, I really do not want someone else, that should know better, to lie for me.  Neither of these people should have ever been in any position of authority as they both are void of any morals/ethics to hold such a position.  I guess it is right in line as the public did elect Hillary’s lying, cheating, and philandering husband twice.  OH WELL, we survived Carter and Clinton so maybe we can survive Obama and Clinton.

Do you realize that a “STAND DOWN” order was issued as to the teams ready to try to save our people?  This means that we no longer stand behind our old “SOP” of not  leaving our own behind.  Not everyone has served this country. So, I do not expect everyone to understand the moral/ethics of bring home your own.  It is with real sadness in my heart that I now realize we have lost so much of our backbone as a nation.  I took the same, or very similar, oath when I served, as I believe President Obama and Hillary Clinton took. But, it does not seem to mean the same to them as it did to me.  Just to let you know when I was “honorably discharged” the oath remained in effect and will remain in effect until I die.

Remember during the primary between Obama and Hillary, that Hillary ran an ad about who would you want to take the call at 3:oo am in the morning. Well, Hillary you made that call to Mr. Hicks and you never asked him, not once, what was happening because you did not want him to tell you the truth.  The administration had already decided to lie to the American public and the truth would have gotten in the way.  To be blunt, Hillary, you “failed the test”.   Everyone should remember this failure if you ever try to run for public office again.

We, as the American public, have been lied to by these two not only about Benghazi, but about a host of other subjects. But, we have gotten what we deserve.  We, as a people, need to become more informed and to become more involved if we truly want great people serving us as “public servants” after all it only makes “COMMON SENSE” to do so.

A LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT

Mr. President,

I happened to catch your interview after the defeat of the “Gun Control” bill in the Senate.  You blamed the Senate for their lack of courage and shamed them for the failure of the bill along with the NRA for “willfully lying” about the bill.  So you will be educated about where I stand, let me inform you that I was and never will be for “gun control.”   I know this will not set well with you; but, you are badly mistaken on why the bill failed.  It had nothing to do with the Senate or the NRA, but instead it was your fault.  You, as the leader of our country, has to bear the weight of this defeat yourself.  I will try to explain it in “common sense” terms so that those with “common sense” can understand why it failed.  This may be foolish on my part as I have not seen much “common sense” in Washington D.C. from the top to the bottom.  This is in no way meant to be disrespectful of the office which you hold, as I have always respected the “office” just sometimes not the man.

My reasoning for it being you fault and the failure of the bill is simply that your approach was completely flawed.  Most, if not all of what you wanted to change, would not have helped stop the shootings that have occurred; and the American public saw through the smoke screen you and your people threw up. They then brought pressure to bear on their Senator to “kill the bill”.  This is a direct result of you lying to the public in the past; and they have now come to the realization that you do not always stand behind what you say.  As an example,” Obamacare”, where you said “you can keep your doctor” and that rates would be reduced by $2500, neither of which is really true.  I, myself, am on my third cardiologist because of changes to the system and rates have gone up by that figure not down; the public noticed.  Then there was the ” sequester”, and your face all over the networks stating how devastating the results would be; and  then, low and behold the “world did not end” as you tried to imply.  Again, not truthful and the public noticed.  You have shall we say cried “wolf” too many times and the public has noticed; and to be blunt, they no longer trust you or your judgment.  Your creditability has been severely damaged with the public and they simply did not believe you in the “gun control” debate.  I know you will try to alibi out of these points but there are more.  What about the” video” and Benghazi?  You and your administration lied, plain and simple.  What about, I’ll take only public funds when you ran against Senator McCain?  What about the “Marriage Act”?  What about your ads during you campaign?  What about the deficit?  What about reducing the debt in half?  Every time you have failed to fulfill your statements and the public has noticed. I am critizing you and the administration, and am sorry for that, but facts are facts.

As a young man, my Mom, a strong Christian woman, taught me that “cleanliness was next to Godliness with honesty somewhere in between”.  You may not have been raised exactly as myself but surely you can see the wisdom and “common sense” in this quote.  If not, then, I really am wasting my breath and my time in trying to labor the point.

In no way am I trying to impune  your character. But, do you not see from these examples that your credibility with the public is lacking?  I am a common man with nothing to rely on but “My Daddy’s Common Sense” and upon examination of the facts I can only come to one conclusion.  It is time for you to face the music and come to that same conclusion, which is: to start being truthful even if it hurts.  After all, it just makes “common sense” to do so.

THE WELFARE SYSTEM IN AMERICA

For all of you that do not really know me, let me explain how I feel about welfare/food stamp programs in America.  Those of you who have known me for years know my position many times over.  I am a compassionate person that would give anyone in the world a hand up.  I will always try to be of service when I really see a need.  Now, having said that, please read and digest the following which I hope makes “COMMON SENSE” on the issue.

Yesterday, while out shopping with Mom, I observed a young fellow ahead of me in the line with a young child in tow.  I also happened to notice that he was using the Lone Star Card which, if I’m not mistaken, is how they now handle the food stamp program.  The state puts money in their account after deducting somewhere out of my account.  What a great country, they do not have to do anything including making a trip to the welfare office to get the funds.  We are making it way to easy with no stigma/shame attached to the receiving of welfare.  The liberals say, “they should not bear any shame” but I disagree.  If I sit on my ass and no not provide for my family, then I should be ashamed.  My “Mom” raised two kids while working for $1.41 an hour and believe you me there were not a lot of luxuries.  When my daughter was born, I had a fear of not being able to provide for her so I worked even harder to make sure she had at least the basic needs.  That foreboding feeling was what drove me to be successful.  You see, I did not want to be a failure and to be ashamed; I wanted to be a man and do what a man should do.  After all is said and done, it only makes “COMMON SENSE” for a man to do so.

Many years ago, there was a stigma attached to “out-of-wedlock births” which there is not today.  Why hell, they even plan “out-of-wedlock births” today.  For all you young people out there that do not know what the stigma was:  You were a bastard if born “out-of-wedlock”.  Do I think this stigma should be on the person as they grow?  Of course not!!!  But, since it has become acceptable in today’s world let’s look at what has happened.  The birth rate for unwed mothers has skyrocketed to 41 percent.  Now, can any of you liberal bastards out there step up to claim this is a good thing for the child, mother or society as a whole?   You really do not have to answer as we all know it only makes “COMMON SENSE” that it is bad for all parties concerned.  I think we might have just stumbled on to something here.  If there is no stigma attached to the “in-question practice”, then we get more of that practice.  Thusly, no stigma to “out-of-wedlock” births and we now have more than ever.   What a shame for our society.

Now that we have established the fact that if there are no consequences to a practice, we will have more of that practice, let’s return to the subject of welfare/food stamps.  If our conjecture works in birth control, then “COMMON SENSE” says that we will get the same results within the food stamp program.  And we have!!! We now have some 48/49 million people in America on this program.  Again, no stigma/shame, more of the behavior.  As concerned as I am about the young father who was not out providing for his family, I am more concerned that he had no shame for his laziness; and I’m really concerned for the beautiful little girl with him being taught there is no shame in living off the system.  She is being raised to feel entitled to the benefits without the sweat from her brow.  What a horrible handy cap to bestow on someone you love.  Our government is to blame for this “entitlement culture” and it should be corrected today.  After all, it is only “COMMON SENSE” to do so.

YOU CAN’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER

Hey, as most of you who know me well are aware, I am very patriotic.  Hell, I cry at the “National Anthem” or when “OLD GLORY” goes by during a parade.  Call me a softy if you want; but, just not while I am “honoring my country and flag” or you might just get your “ass kicked”.  Anyone that has served this country probably feels the same.  It is a special brotherhood; and I’m really proud to be “one of the brothers”.  The brothers of the hood have nothing on us.  The gangs seem to think they have loyalty; just wait til they run into this gang or “brothers of the hood” of the military.  All forces are a part of this gang and proud to call America their home.

Please do yourself and me a favor and check this out.  How soon we forget or maybe just never knew.  He received this honor in 2003: and even though that is in the past, it never hurts to learn something new. This proves the old saying “you can’t judge a book by its cover”.

Army Ranger Surprise
You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw who they were talking about … I had no idea …wait till you see who it is.   What a simple but most sincere and moving acceptance speech.  Loved his recommendation for all our politicos. Many people may have forgotten about his time in the U.S. Army. He is the son of an Air Force General, and an accomplished Golden Gloves boxer, and he graduated from Pomona College with a B.S. degree, and then became a Rhodes Scholar from Oxford University. He joined the U.S. Army at the prompting of his father. After graduating from Officer Candidate School he attended and graduated from both Army Airborne and Ranger training in the very top of each class. He was selected for U. S. Army Special Forces Training but refused so that he could attend pilot training where he earned his wings, and became an accomplished U.S. Army helicopter (gun ship) pilot, and achieved the rank of Captain. He was about to be promoted to the rank of  Major, and appointed to teach at West Point when he resigned he was commission from the Army to go into music and acting. You can tell in this video that his time in the military means a lot to him. I won’t give away who it is. You should just watch.
I bet you will be surprised!
GO HERE

Be honest, you were surprised.

I would like to thank all the members of the “brotherhood” for their service, past and present.  And, I’d like to thank Kris for his service and for his great music over the years. He is part of the” outlaw bunch” that have their own ideas about how this country should be run.  He is a fellow “TEXAN” and we are proud to have him and his accomplishments as a part of the “GREAT STATE OF TEXAS”.  “Texas born and Texas Proud”, We are Texas”.  It just makes “COMMON SENSE” to be proud of and honor a fellow Texan.

Social Security, Entitlement, Not Hardly

Hey, most of my followers know how I feel about the welfare system and the entitlement mentality in America today, but for our Congress to call social security an entitlement, like it is a dirty word, just sets my hair on fire.  Entitlement, my ass, I paid for the program right along side of most Americans.  If the morons in Congress had not borrowed the funds, we would not be in the shape we are in now.  There would be funds to pay the benefits instead of the “robbing of Peter to pay Paul” that we have today.  They put people in prison for lesser crimes in the real world.   I am going to show you a few things here; and remember, I’m a “Common Sense” guy, not a math expert, so you can check the numbers if you want but they will be close.  This is for example purposes only.

  • Remember, not only did you contribute to Social Security, but your employer did, too. It totaled 15% of your income before taxes.  If you averaged only $30K over your working life, that’s close to $220,500.
  • If you calculate the future value of $4,500 per year (yours & your employer’s contribution) at a simple 5%(less than what the government pays on the money that it borrows), after 49 years of working you’d have $892,919.98.
  • If you took out only 3% per year, you’d receive $26,787.60 per year and  it would last better than 30 years (until you’re 95 if you  retire at age 65) and that ‘s with no interest paid on that final amount on deposit! If you bought an annuity and it paid 4% per year, you ‘d have a lifetime income of $2,976.40 per month, or $35,712 per year.
  • The folks in Washington have pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Madoff ever had.
  • Entitlement, not hardly! I paid cash for my social  security insurance!!!  Just because they borrowed the money, doesn ‘t make my benefits some kind of charity or handout!!
  • Congressional benefits —- free healthcare,  outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, three week’s paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days, now that’s welfare, and they have the nerve to call my social security retirement an entitlement?
  • We’re “broke” and can ‘t help our own seniors, veterans, orphans, homeless.
  • We have provided aid to other countries;  literally BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!
  • They call Social  Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of  us have been paying for it all our working lives and now when it’s time for us to collect, the government is running out of money.
  • Why did the government borrow from it in the first place? Imagine if the GOVERNMENT gave US the same support they give to other countries.
  • Sad isn’t it?

We, as Americans, have to start taking part in the running of our country more seriously than we have of late.  We have let the establishment run their shams for so long without even a peep that they think they have the right, as the elite they think they are, to make laws that apply to us but in no way should they have to live under the laws they pass for us to live under.  Folks, this is your fault, and you better get “outa the shade and on your feet, off your ass and into the heat” or you are going to wake up someday and all your freedoms will be a thing of the past.  It is just “COMMON SENSE,” if you give them an inch they’ll take a mile.

A LITTLE COMMON SENSE ABOUT RAISING KIDS, PLEASE!!!

Hey, bet you never expected to see a “Common Sense” article on this subject.  Many, if not most readers, may not even be aware that I’m a Dad and that I live with a Mom.  She is actually the mother of my daughter, which is not always the case, but that is another subject.  The reason I have brought forth this point is that I want you all to know that I speak from experience.  I have in past articles lambasted people for preaching about that of which they have no real experience.  Shortly, we will embark on a series of articles concerning “How to pick a life’s partner” which came about by a request from our daughter.  You see, a father is important even in a daughters rearing.

We, Mom and I, started our daughter out early on the importance of money and work.  She would help us out opening and closing the business which we owned at the time, a Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Parlor.  She would help wash the equipment and help sweep and mop the floors.  This was done to give her pride of work and to teach her to manage the money she earned.  I can remember putting her on the retail side of the counter as a customer and having her order a product, give me money and then tell me how much change she should receive.  We also played out this in reverse; so she had to make correct change.  All this started at the age of six.  Now aren’t all you parents of teenage kids that have no job feeling foolish.  You see, if you do not start them out early in life working and wanting to work for a pay check, then you are handicapping your child for life.  You parents, who have done this to your child, are the ones to blame for the entitlement culture of today.  It makes “COMMON SENSE” if you have given them everything all their life that they now expect me to continue the free ride as an employer.  Sorry, it is not happening with me.  If you haven’t prepared them for life’s hard knocks, then as an employer I must.

I also remember that when she was about eight years old she wanted a bike.  I told her she could have one, but that she would have to buy it with the money she had saved.  She and Mom were driving down the street one day and she spied a bike at the resale shop.  They stopped to look and it “fit to a T”, just what she wanted.  Only one problem, the shop wanted $10 and she only had $6.  They came home and we discussed this over dinner and we decided that she could borrow the money from the family bank and explained that she would have to repay the loan with interest.  A great learning experience, as she had no concept of interest; she does today and pays cash when ever possible.  I know, I know, you are saying what a horrible Dad I was; but with this lesson of life and many others, she developed into a woman of great character and substance.

Early on, I tried to impress upon her that if she applied herself at school that when she graduated someone would offer her a scholarship to attend college.  This did in fact happen and she received an excellent education at a private christian college where she graduated “Summa Cum Laude”.  By the way, she worked at Sonic to help with her expenses during her college years.  This again instilled in her the work ethic.  Now, for all you saying how lucky we, as parents were, I must inform you we spent untold dollars sending her to a private christian school from the beginning.  We felt that she would get a better education and be spiritually nourished at the same time.  As it worked out, we were correct as she developed into a really fine christian lady with good judgements and good morals.  It took both time and money, as we had to drive 25 miles each way for much of her school life, but it was worth it.

After college, she moved to D.C. for a job where she was on her own.  She knew we were there as back up; but that we wanted her to experience what life had in store and did she.  Those were not easy years for her, I’m sure; but because we had taught her to work and to think for herself, she came through it the wiser.  Nothing or no one is a better teacher than life’s hard knocks and experience.

All of this is to point to the “COMMON SENSE” fact that if you coddle them all their life they will never developed into a real man or woman.  Please use “common sense” and let them experience the pride of “making it on their own”.  Now get out-of-the-way, let them earn their way in life, quit coddling them and just love and support them.  After all, it just makes good ol “COMMON SENSE“.

COME AND TAKE IT

“Come and Take It” sounds like a good movie title or a good song title or maybe just a double-dog-dare ya!!!  Well it is a good song title about gun control by one of our somewhat local artist, Steve Vaus.  We call him local because he truly has “THE ATTITUDE”. It is not his first venture into songs of political nature.  He has always been on the cutting edge with his music and is a “pretty damn good hand” at what he does.

If you have followed my blog at all, you know my feelings toward the gun control issue and the infringement of our rights by the government on many fronts.  He has captured the feelings of many Texans and just a lot of other people to boot.  It strikes a nerve with me and brings a tear to my eye; but, please do not think of that tear as a sign of weakness.  Better yet, understand it as a tear of pride.  The same thing happens when the National Anthem is played or a flag goes by in a parade.  You see, I have served my time for this country and was raised to respect “OLD GLORY” and to not allow her to be tread upon.  People have asked me many times, “What is it that makes Texans so proud?”  I tell them it is just bred in us.  I was “BORN AMERICAN BY FATE but BORN TEXAN BY THE GRACE OF GOD”.  We are a self-reliant group of people who will not mess with others and that is where the old saying “DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS”, comes from I guess.  It’s an attitude; the “cowboy attitude”.  Someone once pointed out that I do not dress like a “cowboy”; and a friend spoke up and said “oh, but he is one”.  Again, it’s not the hat, boots, jeans or truck, it’s just the attitude.

It is the attitude that Steve Vaus captures in his new song “COME AND TAKE IT”.  Enjoy and spread the news and our blog site with your friends and family through all the social media right along side of his great song.  After all, it only makes “COMMON SENSE” to share something new and good.

GUNS IN AMERICA, COMMON SENSE STYLE

Oh, how I yearn for the days of yesteryear, when COMMON SENSE was common.  Boy has that changed!   We now have the President and all his band of idiots calling for the ban of assault weapons; but, they do not know what an assault weapon means.  They keep trying to define an AR-15 as being the same as some other auto-assault weapon.  As usual, most , including the President, have never handled any of these weapons, but are now experts ready to tell you and the rest of the public what should be our policies toward guns.  And by the way, they are all protected by the gun.   There are armed guards at every entrance to all the Capital Buildings.

We have covered this issue before. And if you have read those blogs, then you know that all of the lefty’s calling for gun control are protected at some level by guns.  So, the point of this post is to simply, shortly and sweetly inform our readers of the true stats for gun violence in America.  I truly believe that these stats completely boaster the belief that guns in America are not the problem.  Simply by scanning the chart below, you can decide for yourself if the violence in America is due to the gun.  Of course, you can present this to a liberal and it will have no effect as they are devoid of any common sense to understand the message it sends.  We, over the years, have given too much weight to their intellect by trying to present logical facts to them.  I, and many of my associates, have determined that their, the liberals, brains are hard-wired differently than that of conservatives.  I will assure you  that if you use the info in this chart, which you should feel free to do, they, your liberal friends, of which I have none, will not be swayed, as facts are just a bump in the road for them.

To put some perspective on Gun Control.

As you can tell, Obama is in with a bad crowd.  It is shameful that we have to point stuff like this out; but, it only makes “COMMON SENSE” when you look at his agenda.  He is moving to the left of center in a big way.  He will/has looked the public in the eye and lied to them.  This is not the first and neither will it be the last lie that this man will tell to promote his agenda.   BEWARE!!!

Notice where the stats show gun violence and then ask yourself if what they are proposing might have any effect. Did you notice that according  to the FBI that the baseball bat is the most used and dangerous of weapons?  If this stat is true, and we assume it is, then why all the push to restrict guns.  If you look and study the above group of friends that Obama has aligned himself with, then it may become clear as to the agenda.  My personal opinion is that he wants to sign a U.N. Gun Treaty so he can then try to have U.N. forces confiscate the guns.  My reasoning is that he knows the that law enforcement/military would not do his “dirty work”.

The old saying or “COMMON SENSE“, if you will, is “Birds of a feather, flock together.” So, simply look to how he is feathering his nest to know who he will flock together with in the end.
