America and the Fiscal Cliff

Well folks, it seems as though we, as a nation, are heading for the big fiscal cliff all the politicians have been preaching about since last year.  You see, this mess is of their own making simply because they did not have the cojones to solve the problem during the last session.  They came up with this bright idea to “pass the buck” or “kick the can down the road” so that they would not have to do their job and make the tough decisions.  They thought that if they made the consequences so bad, then the next session would have to get it solved; or, the automatic cuts to defense and tax increases on the general populace would take effect automatically and that it would make it easier to decide on a plan of action.  Well here we are and those idiots still can’t make it happen.

If you will allow me, I’ll try to explain what is and has been going on in the meetings between Speaker Boehner and the President.  The speaker agreed two days after the election to the terms of revenue that the President spent two years campaigning  for all over the country.  The speaker proposed to raise the revenue by removing deductions on the higher income folks.  The President had asked for $800 billion; but when the speaker agreed, the President changed and said he wanted $1.6 trillion.  Folks, that is double what he had wanted.  Where I come from that is called dishonest and the person behind the change would be called “a dishonest SOB”.  Of course, when it comes to this President, that’s a way of life.  Think of it this way:  you want to by a house, and the person is asking 100K, and after you and the wife decide and make an offer he says, “If they will pay 100K then they must want the deal so now I want 110K.”  Would you even want to offer 110K? Because, he will then want 120K.  President O’liar did not go up a meer 10K he want up double.  This is the main reason the deal has not been made; plus, the fact that the President has offered no cuts in the entitlements to help us recover from this economic mess.  We should demand at least 2 dollars cut for every dollar of increased revenue.

You are going to hear on the news from the dishonest press that O’liar is blaming the House for this impasse; but, do not for a moment believe what they will try to sell.  This is the President playing politics with your lives and finances.  This man is a committed liar and is the most dishonest president of all times.  This man has no problem looking you straight in the face and telling you something that he knows, you know, is not true.  He would “go climb a tree to tell a lie, rather than stand on the ground in the shade and tell the truth”.  A liar is just as bad as a thief and neither can be trusted.

You see, by letting us go over the cliff, he gets the huge cuts in the military that the democrats have always wanted and large tax increases on everyone to pay for all the goodies he promised during his campaign, all the while blaming the GOP.  Do not take my word for everything; do your homework.

My Ol’ Dad always said, “Common Sense says, A liar will steal you blind and a thief will lie to you”.  This president qualifies as both; so hang on, it will be a bumpy ride!

GUNS IN AMERICA, A LITTLE COMMON SENSE PLEASE

As you all know, I think “Common Sense” in America is in short supply.  The recent debate on guns has shown me that I am 100% right.  Do me a favor, if you will, take a gun, a knife and a baseball bat and put them on your table.  Let them lay there a while and then one at a time command them to move to the floor or across the room to another table.   Now, if you are one of those idiots claiming the guns are the problem, I would like for you to hold your breath just until they move.  I think we just solved the problem.  Now wasn’t that easy. Bet you, who know me personally, never knew I was so smart.  You see it is not the guns, it is the people.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of folks on every T.V. channel calling for gun control.  We already have gun control.  You see, I have control of every gun I own and none will do a damn thing until I react, so the gun is under my control.  I have listened with disgust to supposedly smart people make complete asses out of themselves on T.V.   These are not all liberals.  There are also a fair share of, so-called, conservatives joining in on this nonsense.  Just a lot of jerks having a “knee jerk” reaction.  Let’s look at but a few of those calling for more control.  There is Mayor Bloomberg, Bill O’Reilly and Piers Morgan to name but a few.   I’ll bet you, if we walked up to them and handed them a AR-15 and said “here is the mag, bullets etc. now you load, handle and unload,” they could not do it.  If they can’t, then why the hell are they even talking about it.  You see, in their positions, they are only qualified to inform us of things that are happening in the news.  If anyone is going to lecture me about guns, let it be one of their staff.   That’s right, they all have staff much more qualified to speak about guns than themselves.  Does “bodyguards” ring a bell?  You see, they all are protected by the gun somewhere down the chain.  Every mayor in every major city, every governor, every congress person, the vice president and even President Obama and his entire family are protected by the gun.  They have all the protection they need but are against us and the 2nd Amendment having the same security in our life.  Most, if not all, of the Hollywood crowd who are on the T.V. ads pushing for “gun control” have bodyguards that are packing “heat”.  Just check out all the fire arms going to Hawaii to protect the President and his family.  All these people have protection of the gun, all the while, living in much safer places than most of the population at large.  Does the thought of double standard come to mind?

Bill O’Reilly seems to want us to register our weapons with the FBI.  As Bill would say, “You are a pinhead”.  If we follow his lead, the government would know where to go when they decide to move to the next phase–confiscation.   Piers Morgan stated just last nite that a semi/auto could fire 5/6 rounds per second which is completely false.  If he was knowledgeable of the weapon, he would know it is false.  Let me just point out to the tea sipper that we kicked their ass once for taxation without representation; and if he is not careful, he might get a dose of wup-ass over gun control.  Glad to have you here Piers, as you are somewhat a productive member of our society, and I assume a U.S. citizen; but if you do not like it here, go back to “Bloody Ol England” chap.

As this debate has unfolded, I have heard many ask and have been asked myself, “Why does anyone need an auto or semi/auto gun or rifle?” I would not think for a moment to try to decide for another what or why, he or she, might need any type of gun. Simply interpreted, the 2nd Amendment says nothing about “NEED”.  It says that I have the right to bear arms.  It does not specify any need or for that matter limit me to any type of arms. It is the government of today that is trying to reinterpret the 2nd Amendment.  As stated previously, the 2nd Amendment has served this country since its birth; and I, as a free American, do not want to see it trampled. I live out where they do not bring mail to my house; so, how long would it take for the law to reach me?  No thanks, I take care of it myself.

The gun rights folks are not trying to force their views on anyone else.  We do not care if you own a gun, or not. But do folks not realize, that by my owning a gun, it protects their rights as well as mine. Not just their gun rights, but all their rights.  All that we are saying is just “leave us to hell alone”, do as you please, and let us do the same.  I have been a gun owner since I was about 12 years old and have never shot anyone; although, I have used one several times to deter possible problems.  “Common Sense” tells me that I will never shoot anyone until they come up my road, yes my road, all mine alone, to take my guns.  When that happens, “All bets are off”.

As of just a few days ago, I exercised my 2nd Amendment right and bought myself a “JUDGE”. So, henceforth, you can address me as “YOUR HONOR” since I will be packing the “JUDGE”.  “HERE COME THE JUDGE, HERE COME THE JUDGE”.

COMMON SENSE ABOUT MASS MURDER IN AMERICA

It is horrible what has and is happening in America with all the mass murders.  Americans are harming one another at an alarming rate.  The shooting at Sandy Hook School in Newtown, Connecticut is but the latest in tragedies perpetrated against innocent victims in America.  Although no one knows just yet the true cause, it appears that the young man was a deeply disturbed person, to say the least.

The liberals, along with their lap dogs–the liberal press, are already out calling for gun control.  Will they never learn that it is the disturbed person at fault, not the gun, gun owners or the gun manufacturers? In fact, if you are going to blame a segment of folks, we should blame the far left or liberals, if you will; because, it is due to their policies that I believe we will find the root cause of these tragedies.

As I see it, we have raised a generation that is devoid of any of life’s foundations needed to progress through life itself.  I watched every politician on T.V. today ask for the public to pray for the victims and to pray for their families.  Even President Obama called for our prayers to console the families.  They and the liberal press called for these prayers all the while not realizing that they are the ones that have removed prayer from schools so the children know less about the power of prayer than any time in our history.  If you want people to pray for any reason, they must first be taught how and taught of the power of prayer.  We have no mention of the “TEN COMMANDMENTS” in school or any other public forum.  In Matthew 7:12 it is ,I believe, Jesus who says “Love thy neighbor as you love yourself”; but, our children of today do not hear this  nor understand the meaning.  The children of today have no spiritual foundation on which to build their lives.  You can ignore this fact; but, the chaos will continue until we make an effort to give leadership, both knowledge and spiritual, to our young.  They hear of the thousands murdered in the womb and you expect them to value life.  Just how stupid are we?  We, as a people, need to be more consistent in our views and teachings.  Now, I’m no preacher. But, I did grow up in a time when we prayed and said the pledge everyday in school and it served to help give me a spiritual background, loyalty to my country and to value life as well as our way of life. I had a strong mother who taught me these same fundamentals and all the while being reinforced in my school each and everyday.

This young man at fault for this tragedy most likely had none of the background that I grew up learning; thusly, devoid of the foundation to process thru his problems.  Just think if he had been taught and believed in the “TEN COMMANDMENTS.” He would have known to “Honor thy Mother and thy Father” or “Thou shalt not commit murder”.  These two alone would have, or should, have deterred him of his actions.  Just think for a moment—If we all lived our lives according to the “TEN” how great would life be, with no need for police, lawyers and courts.  Of course, the lawyers would not like that and there are mostly lawyers in D.C. making laws for us.

Folks, I have always said that the T.V. is the greatest educational tool ever invented and it has proved me right over the years.  What is on the T.V. is what our children are learning.  It is sex, drugs and violence and this display of violence has been learned.  Just as all the liberals want “BIG BIRD” to remain on PBS for our very young, our teens are learning from the trash on T.V.   Now, I know the libs will come after me; but, you can’t have it both ways.  If “BIG BIRD” is educational, then so is the trash.  For God sakes, wake up and smell the coffee.

Finally, “Common Sense” tells us to live by the “Golden Rule” of “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” and to do what is right even when no one is looking is a great way to live your life.  So get off your lazy duff, get a job, get off the dole, stand on your own two feet, help your fellow-man when you can and help a child understand that according to “GOD” they are special.  If that is not “Common Sense,” then I’ll eat my hat.

The Republicans and American History!!

A lot of people are bad mouthing the Republicans as “Rich White Guys”. Do these people not realize that the Dem’s who have run the country were also “Rich White Guys”?

It has been and still is a true statement that the country has been run by “Rich White Guys” from both parties up until approximately 20 to 25 years ago. That’s when we started to elect women and minorities to run this country. (I know this will not be a popular outlook, but please bear with me). The women use too much emotion in decisions; and the minorities have too much of a “poor is me” bias. And, they all make decisions on what is best for them instead of what is best for the country.  Now, that is not to say that all women and minorities are not qualified, because they are, but the numbers are far less than in the “Rich White Guys”.  I happen to be married to one of those women who can set aside the emotions and look  solely at the facts as to what will be the best avenue of approach in difficult situations. As well, there are minorities that I know have the qualities to make excellent decisions. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Susana Martinez, and Herman Cain to name but a few. What do they all have in common other than their minority status? That is right, they are all conservatives.

So, is it that we have to many “Rich White Guys” or is it that we have too few conservatives?

Of all those “Rich White guys” that ran the country for some 200 years, some were Democrats and they too did a good job. If that is true, then where have we strayed from the great leadership of the past, Republican and Democrats alike?

I can tell you with 100% certainty that the Democratic Party is far from the party of yesteryear. John Kennedy would never have had anything to do with the party of today. (The ad of a 97-year-old Democratic person using the vile language she used. Notice I did not use lady, as there was nothing lady-like about her.)

I have to ask you to look around the world to the countries that are run successfully by minorities. There are very few if any. They just simply can’t (not qualified) or won’t (due to corruption) get the countries on the right track “forward”.

There in lies our problem. We have allowed a minority person, this Obama fellow, to try his darndest to run this country and he has just been re-elected by 1/2 of the country, who are misguided at best, to accomplish a job he is not truly capable of accomplishing.

So “Common Sense” tells me that if for 200 years, this very successful country was run by “Rich White Guys”; and we recently, in historical data, just switched to something else; and the country is rapidly going to hell in a hand basket….Maybe, just maybe, we need to go back to what worked for 200 years.

PS. Just how many of the Occupy Wall Street people would you vote for President. Well, if you voted for Obama, you just did.  Think about that!!!

Obama Promotes “BIG LIE TOUR”

President Obama is promoting the “BIG LIE” about Libya on his campaign tour.

For two weeks he and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the American public that the Libya attacks that killed 4 Americans was attributed to a video. Hell, he even repeated it six times in his U N speech. An Ambassador from the State Department appeared on five news shows, five days after the attack to promote the obvious lie.

Please think about this folks–He and Clinton even made an ad with which they spent your tax dollars to broadcast it in Pakistan promoting the “BIG LIE“.  Are you understanding this? They bought ad time on Pakistani National TV!!!!

Now, with his hand caught in the “cookie jar”, he says he called it a terrorist attack from the get-go. Are you kidding me??? This man has no shame–he knows that the world knows he is lying but just continues to promote the “BIG LIE“. He has always had a problem with telling the truth, but this is ridiculous. Obama wouldn’t know the truth if it jumped up and bit him in the ass!

We tried to tell you folks about this “con man” before YOU elected him; but, no, you thought he was the “second coming”.

Common Sense says: If he will lie to you to hide this, what else is he hiding besides his birth records, college records, attorney records and social security records?

Let’s face it, you really know nothing about this person. I use the term person instead of man, because a man would disclose all the information and “let the chips fall where they may”.

If you vote for him to serve 4 more years, you will deserve what you get and it won’t be pretty.

Auto Bailout – My Foot!!

During this campaign season, I have noticed/heard President Obama (it pains me to say that) refer to his bailout of the auto industry. Nothing could be further from the truth. He did not bail out the auto industry, but effectively bailed out the unions. The auto industry was merely a side effect.

He fired the CEO of GM (which I still contend was unconstitutional); then used millions/billions of tax payer money to transfer the majority ownership of the corporation to the union bosses. In the process, he arbitrarily put the bond, or stock holders, on the bottom of the list. If you had GM stock, you took a beating.

The irony of all this is, that if the government would have stayed out of the process, GM and tax payers would have come out in about the same place except that both would have been better off. GM would be in about the same spot, but would not have the massive pay back hanging over its head; and the tax payer would not still be on the hook for all the monies. Thusly, both would be better off.

Just to mention one more way GM would be better off is that they would still have me as a loyal customer. But, alas, I will never buy another product from GOVERNMENT MOTORS.

You see, we have laws in place to handle such problems. The bankruptcy laws, in this case–chapter 11–for reorganization, would have been sufficient.

After watching this, you can see why the union bosses should be furious. President Obama has now turned against them (under the bus comes to mind). Obama, GOVERNMENT MOTORS, and China what a group! Who will crook who first?

Common Sense says to buy American so that GOVERNMENT MOTORS, China and Obama get what they deserve. GOVERNMENT MOTORS goes bankrupt, China rots from the stench within, and Obama becomes unemployed.

The Rule of Law in America!

Where is the rule of law in America? I am going to expose two examples where there are laws, passed and ruled constitutionally sound, that the Obama Administration and the left leaning judicial system are selectively choosing not to enforce.

The first is the notification of lay-offs by defense contractors. There is an approaching deadline for these contractors to send out pink slips. The law states that if the deadline for the pink slips is not met, then the contractors are subject to fines, late fees, and law suits plus attorney fees. The contractors were preparing to send these out in accordance with the law and to avoid the fines, etc. But, the Obama Administration stepped in and told the contractors to delay the process until after the election and deadline; and the government (really taxpayers) would cover their costs of fines, etc. Think about this for a moment, PLEASE, the Obama administration told the contractors to purposely break the law and they would cover the fines with tax payer dollars. The only reasoning is that they want to keep the workers and the American public in the dark about the lay-offs until after the election. Totally, a political move! Obama is really using my tax dollars, and yours, as a political donation to tramp down bad press. “Common Sense” calls that “HUSH MONEY”!

The second example is a left-leaning judge in Pennsylvania who has declared the law for voter ID as constitutional; but, he has declared “it shall not be enforced until after the election on Nov. 6.” Now, who do you think had a hand in this decision? If you can’t figure this out, then you are too stupid to be reading this blog and getting anything from it. Do you really understand this? It is the law, but we will just disregard it for political advantage until after the election. The judge is saying to the polling places…break the law.

Obama, his administration, and the judge all took oaths to uphold the constitution.  “Common Sense” is to tell us this includes any laws deemed constitutionally sound.

Folks, if you, as a nation, do not awaken to the fact that this man, Obama, and his minions are a pack of liars and crooks from Chicago you will awaken and ask, “What the hell happened to our country?”

It is as plain as the nose on your face and just “COMMON SENSE” for heaven sake.

Unions in America

Unions have been a part of the American work force for years. “Have they been good for America and the worker?” is the question I’d ask.

Let us look back at their history for the answer to our question. Does Eastern or Braniff airline ring a bell for anyone? Bet most, if not all young folks, out there do not recognize the names. They were very large and prosperous companies that employed thousands; but since being forced into bankruptcy by the unions, now employ “O” employees. And by the way, they made travel harder because of less seats, made those seats that remained more costly for the traveler, and now no taxes can be collected from employees wages or from the corporations themselves. Millions probably trillions of dollars lost over all these years. Does the word deficit come to mind?

While on the subject of airlines, does air traffic controllers spark any interest? Yes, years ago, they too decided to strike and all but ruined travel in the country and affected travel worldwide. But, we had a President then that didn’t just play basketball like our current one, but had a set of basketballs. Hope you’re not offended, but if you are SO BE IT! President Reagan stood fast and controlled the controllers.

The auto industry problem was a direct effect of the unions and their thugs as leaders. They are making near $80 an hour and trying to sell their products to people making $20 an hour. Do you see anything wrong with this picture? It would certainly make more “Common Sense” if the numbers were somewhat reversed.

Now, to today’s market and the NFL Officials Association (union),  who have messed up your football season. They wanted more money than the approximately $10K per game that they are currently being paid. They may well deserve a little more; but, the point of all this is to show you that they, the unions, do not care how much it inconveniences the public or their customers, they just want and care about themselves.

It is the same scenario with the government employees. They do not give a “hank” about anyone else or how they might inflict hardship on the people they supposedly serve. They and the politicians trade votes for benefits and retirement all the time and from one end of the laddar to the other. It is one of the most corrupt systems going today.

“Common Sense” says that if this is not resolved, it will ruin or bankrupt America and this Grand Ol Country will go the route of Eastern and Braniff airlines….Just a faint memory of a few wise old elders.

American Foreign Aid, A Real Joke!

Let’s make nice, give them $$$, and they will like us.

How do you like the way “American Foreign Aid” has helped us in the Middle East? Between giving them cash and trying to make nice, they hate us and want our heads.

President Obama started out apologizing; and it has only gotten more pronounced. He does not realize that they (the Muslim) see this as a weakness. All they do is con him and America into giving them aid; and then turn on us like a pack of wolves. Yes., that’s right, I said a pack of wolves, wild animals at best.

They have lived in that filthy culture so long that they have transformed into animals. Look at where and how they live. In Jerusalem, you can walk through the streets controlled by Israel were it is clean and productive looking, but the minute you cross over to the other side it is dirty.

We have for decades now supported the Arabs with foreign aid to no avail. It is time we make sure that Iran, Pakistan and all the other Arab countries get nukes. Yes, see that they all get nukes. All at once, at the same time, and delivered from the same type of planes–US AIR FORCE BOMBERS!!

Common Sense says “Quit funding them with foreign aid,” and they will “HATE US FOR FREE”!

Truth In Politics…A Rarity at Best!!!

The main stream “liars” , I am sorry that’s “media”, has discovered a tape of Governor Romney “telling the truth” and they perceive it as detrimental.

What he said was, and I para-phrase, that 47% of americans pay no income tax and are on some type of government assistance; so, he does not worry about trying to appeal to them for their vote. Folks, that is the truth, like it or not. It is published by the government itself. Most, if not all of that 47%, will only vote for Obama who wants to keep them in slavery to the piddle little that they get each month. Say what you will, but that is enslavement to the system and the democratic platform. Obama is the modern-day slave master and the government programs and the democratic party are the modern-day plantation.

Governor Romney and the Republicans are the party that wants to get you off of “barely getting by” through helping to put you to work at a good paying job and allowing you to go as far as your talents will carry you. Just think, you may become as rich as the richest in this country. If and when, you do accomplish that, Governor Romney, myself, and every Republican will stand and cheer for you. Heck, we will even cheer that you might become even richer.

Governor Romney also remarked that if he was hispanic, he would get more of the hispanic vote. Again, true as true can be. If he was hispanic, he would get somewhere in the 45% of that vote instead of the 8 to 12% he will probably get.

It is GREAT to finally have a politician tell you the TRUTH instead of all the lies we hear from the O’Liar!

Now let’s look at it from a Common Sense angle. Would you rather be a democrat and just “get by” on assistance or be a Republican and “shoot for the moon”?  Common Sense says shoot for the moon; and if you fall a little short, you will only be a millionaire instead of a multi-millionaire.

YOUR CHOICE FOLKS!!! Now go out and vote accordingly.
